Consultants and freelancers who invoice
Invoicing and card payments for consultants
You bill for advice, implementation, or fractional work, usually net 14 or net 30, and you want unpaid invoices to work even before you have a merchant account.
ClientBilling may earn a commission if you apply to CDG Commerce through our links. It does not change your pricing. Details
What the invoice tool covers
- Default due days and notes on every new invoice
- View tracking when a client opens the link
- Reminders, manual or opt-in automatic, to the client on file
- No card fields on your invoice page
Unpaid invoices always work. Card fields never appear on ClientBilling. See how invoicing works.
Flat Rate rates CDG publishes
One rate per channel, a small monthly fee, and no interchange to read. Simple, and usually the most expensive per dollar once volume grows. Band: $1,000 to $10,000 a month. Monthly fee: $9.95 a month.

When this path fits
Pros
- If card volume is still low, CDG publishes a flat rate band
- As volume grows, interchange plus markups are published by channel
- You keep settlement on your own merchant account, not ours
Cons
- You only need a personal payment link and never send formal invoices
- You want ClientBilling to hold or move funds
- You are outside the U.S.
