Invoicing and card payments for agencies

You invoice brands and businesses for retainers, projects, and monthly services, and you want the invoice tool free while card processing stays on a real merchant account.

ClientBilling may earn a commission if you apply to CDG Commerce through our links. It does not change your pricing. Details

What the invoice tool covers

  • Recurring schedules for retainers and monthly fees
  • Client statements that show open and paid work
  • Public invoice links your account managers can send
  • CSV export for the bookkeeper

Unpaid invoices always work. Card fields never appear on ClientBilling. See how invoicing works.

Interchange Plus rates CDG publishes

You pay the card networks' interchange at cost, plus CDG's fixed markup. The markup is published, so the bill is auditable. Band: $10,000 to $200,000 a month. Monthly fee: None published.

When this path fits

Pros

  • Average tickets are often large enough that interchange plus markups matter
  • Clients may prefer card on the invoice rather than a separate portal
  • Published online markups are on CDG's pricing pages

Cons

  • You need a full agency OS with time tracking and proposals
  • Most clients pay only by ACH or wire and never ask for card
  • You are outside the U.S.
